2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony

In every four years, some 10,000 athletes from 205 countries, with a similar number of coaches and officials, over 15,000 accredited media representatives and hundreds of thousands of spectators gather for more than two weeks to participate in the Olympic Games. Each of the games cost enormous amount of money, funded from the taxpayers, sponsors and television companies. Each Olympic event is usually characterized by a unique feature ranging from the location of the event to the theme behind the event.

The key aspects of the Olympic Games are usually enshrined in the opening ceremony. The 2012 Olympic Games will also bear a specific and unique mark which will make it to be a unique event. The opening ceremony will be a ceremony which shall showcase the uniqueness of the host nation and give an opportunity to the participating nations an opportunity to parade their athletes. The name of the opening ceremony shall be "Isles of Wonder". The main attributes of this ceremony will be based on the rich history of the British culture.

The ceremony will showcase the British countryside. The Olympic stadium shall be changed and transformed into a scenic view of a countryside which shall be characterized by the main attributes of the British culture.
The ceremony will give each of the nations of the United Kingdom an opportunity which shall be represented by a national flower. This ceremony shall take approximately three hours, that is, according to the award winning director, Danny Boyle.

This ceremony will be also characterized by dignitaries from across the globe. Speeches from the chair of the Olympic committee, Jacques Rogge will characterize the event. The big finale of the ceremony will be staged by the entry of the Olympic Flame. This flame will be passed on by the athletes to signify the commencement of the magnanimous Olympic event.
